Allan Taylor

Before founding Taylor Co., Allan Taylor spent 25 years in progressively senior roles at leading national commercial real estate advisors and managers, including Cushman & Wakefield, Oxford Properties, Bentall and Redbourne. A relationship builder, Allan is known for his extensive network in the real estate brokerage community. He brings a consistent track record of creating value for property owners, pension funds and private wealth.

Greg is formerly the Vice President; Real Estate Management of Square One Shopping Centre and possesses 20 years of strategic management experience in a wide range of retail and office real estate and community spaces. Through his progressive experience at leading Canadian organizations including O&Y Enterprise, Ivanhoe Cambridge and Oxford Properties, Greg has developed and maintained exceptional relationships with family owners, large retailers, co-ownerships, institutional investors and community partners. His reputation as a future-focused leader and change maker have played a key role in transforming Square One into the premier shopping centre in Canada and have lead to the launch of Canada’s largest mixed use development Square One District.

Ron Seftel

Head of ESG and CFO


Ron brings 30+ years of strategic planning, finance and operations experience to Taylor+. Ron has spent the past 15 years in senior executive roles within the Cleantech industry as CFO of Parity Inc. and as CEO/CFO of Bullfrog Power, Canada’s leading renewable energy provider. During that time, he was focused on helping organizations and building across North America lessen their environmental footprint to address their climate change impact and contributed to several industry initiatives such as CaGBC’s Zero Carbon Building Standard and the World Resource Institute’s GHG Protocol Scope 2 Guidance. Ron is currently the Treasurer for Solarshare, Canada’s largest community owner renewable energy co-operative.

John brings over 35 years of commercial, office, healthcare and institutional ownership management experience to Taylor Co. Over his professional career John has maintained a broad base of knowledge related to all aspects of the engineering discipline. With a team/mentorship approach John identifies efficiencies that lead to tangible results for our partners. Areas of expertise include acquisitions and dispositions, redevelopments, engineering operations, central mechanical plant operations, large scale capital improvements and energy performance.

He has over 25 years’ experience in Commercial Real Estate representing or working for property owners and working with corporations directly. His extensive network with senior executives and brokers is a testament to his skills at pairing the needs of any business with the right corporate property for their employees needs and corporate success.

David has valuable experience in the Real Estate Investment Trust sector having worked for a Canadian Office REIT and supported investment opportunities with an Industrial REIT.

A. David M. Taylor

Advisor


David is an experienced senior executive with a record of delivering results in complex, multi-faceted business environments. He currently operates a unique consulting practice providing advisory services to Boards of Directors and Management to assist in the achievement of corporate strategic objectives.Having spent thirteen years in the retail department store business with Simpsons Ltd., he held eleven senior management positions, completed numerous special assignments, and had responsibility for the operation of fifteen large stores. An innovator, David initiated a number of ‘firsts’ within the department store industry in Canada and coordinated the separation of Simpsons and Simpsons Sears.

Moving to the entertainment industry, David led the operational and financial turnaround of the Corporation of Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall, overseeing two culturally significant concert halls. He stimulated the management team to pursue excellence and to engage in entrepreneurial activities.

David was recruited by the National Hockey League, to lead the design, redevelopment and operation of the Hockey Hall of Fame as its President. The project was completed on time and on budget. This facility won numerous awards and set attendance and sponsorship records. It became a world standard for halls of fame. His innovation led to the establishment of the Spirit of Hockey retail outlet, a bestselling book, a television series and a gold record of hockey related music.

Forming a partnership with a property management company, David secured the redevelopment and management contract for the CN Tower. Reestablishing and refocusing the management group, he led the change in culture, and the design/development of the physical changes required to support improvements to the guest experience. The physical changes were completed on time and on budget with no loss of business. During David’s management of this project, numerous design awards were won, the management team was designated employer of the year, the public voted the facility the best attraction in the community in successive years, and the significant food services operation won impressive recognition. The profitability of the facility was dramatically improved to a significant multiple of the acquisition profit, and financial targets were exceeded.

As a principal of Asset Directions Inc. (ADI) and Attractions Strategy Group Inc. (ASG) he provides strategic and operational management support to a variety of enterprises. His clients continue to benefit from the breadth of his industry experience and his respectful and encouraging management approach.

David is a graduate of McMaster University B.A. Honours, Summa Cum Laude and the University of Western Ontario Business Course.

Previously involved in a number of charities and not-for-profit organizations as Chair and member of the Board, he is currently a member of the Board and Executive Committee of the Canadian Broadcast Museum Foundation and an active member of the Royal Canadian Yacht Club. He resides in Toronto, Ontario.

Tim Walker

Executive in Residence


Tim brings to Taylor Co. over 30 years of direct experience in the Canadian real estate industry with organizations such as Epic Investment Services and Oxford Properties. Tim’s diverse background and insight into leasing, operations and brokerage allows him to deliver superior results to our clients and customers. During Tim’s tenure with Epic Investment Services the organization started with a single property management assignment and grew to a fully integrated advisory firm with over $17.5 billion in assets under active management and 30+ million square feet of space in office, retail, industrial and multi-family sectors throughout North America. Prior to joining Epic, Tim was the Director of Leasing at Oxford Properties. In this role, Tim was responsible for the leasing activities of a 6.5 million square foot office portfolio and 3 million square feet of industrial space.
